1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
2. The cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function - page navigation, security, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics. Our own first-party analytics records the pages you view, clicks on calls to action and form use, and stores no IP address. Until you choose it uses only a session identifier in your browser's session storage; if you accept analytics cookies it also keeps a random visitor identifier in local storage; if you reject them it records nothing. See section 6 of our Privacy Policy. Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, where configured, load only after you accept analytics cookies. When we test two versions of a button's text, the version you see is tied to these same identifiers; no test runs if you reject them.
- Site features. If you open our AI assistant, your conversation is kept in your browser's session storage so it survives moving between pages, and it is gone when you close the tab. We also briefly cache which site features are switched on (the assistant and online booking) in session storage. These are not used for tracking.
- Marketing. Where enabled, these help us measure and improve campaigns. They load only with your consent.
3. Your consent
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before loading any non-essential (analytics or marketing) cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always active. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" option, which reopens the consent banner.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings - blocking or deleting them at any time. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works. Guidance is available in the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties (for example, Google) when you consent to analytics or marketing. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. See how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
6. Updates to this policy
